The New China Cyber Security Law

China is an important market for Malaysian businesses, especially once the China-led-mega trade agreement, RCEP and the One Belt One Road Initiative take effect. However, in order to access the market, the businesses would rely on cross-border transfer of data for business operations - things like online advertising, social media presence, and even emails. But the newly passed China cyber security law does not allow cross border transfer of data and this, may impact the market accessibility. So if you’re business has any sort of connection with China, listen up.
