Recently, Symantec released its Internet Security Threat Report Volume 22, together with CyberSecurity Malaysia. What’s interesting here is that the size of ransomware spiked 266 percent and Malaysia ranks 17th on the ransomware infection on unique machines globally and this was before the WannaCry ransomware attacks that happened. Matthias Yeo, the Chief Technology Officer APAC for Symantec Corporation talks about what we learned in 2016 and what did we learn from WannaCry and how to move forwards, safely.
