Started in early 2010s, first in Scandinavia and then in the US before reaching Asia and then the rest of the world, 4G technology became a foundational technology which the smartphone revolution was built and the infamous saying “there’s an app for that”. Photo sharing, video streaming, social media, e-commerce and other mobile applications became part of our daily routine thanks to 4G. But as the 5G era is upon us, is there any future left for 4G?
