The Belt and Road Initiative was first proposed in 2013 and is the signature foreign policy initiative of China’s President, Xi Jinping. Originally known as One Belt, One Road, the initiative aims to create the world’s largest platform for economic cooperation. We speak to ACCA President Brian McEnery on this development strategy, which focuses on connectivity and cooperation around 60 countries.
