Up The Ante - How do you raise funds?

Offpeak recently announced that they raised USD800,000 for Series A round from Gobi Partners. They are a restaurant discovery platform that provides instant restaurant booking and dining privileges based right here in Kuala Lumpur. Gobi Partners is a venture capital firm that made their first investment in Malaysia since they opened their KL office earlier this year. How did Offpeak raise these funds without having a business model as they are offering their services for free? What will they do with these funds? Victor Chua, Gobi Malaysia Investment Manager and Tan Ee Ern, Business Development Director from Offpeak will answer these questions.
