Meteor Showers, On Demand

ALE Co., Ltd clearly doesn’t believe the sky’s the limit. The startup wants to manufacture and create shooting stars that will streak across the night sky above major cities in a spectacular light show unlike anything the world has ever seen, and they plan to do it using satellite boxes that orbit multiple locations above the Earth’s atmosphere. We speak to Kei Oda, a key member of ALE’s Global Strategy Team, on how the Japan-based startup plans to pull off such a groundbreaking feat, monetization, and the challenges involved with literally turning meteor showers into an on-demand service.
