Ala Carte - The Prep Room

When we think of cafés, too often the words ‘minimalistic’ or ‘hipster’,  would come to mind. The Prep Room on the other hand, is a café that is far from common with the charm and character the founders established for it to be. Helmed by the founders of Penang's Coffee Elements - Akmal Zaki, Toh Kuan Ling, and Toh Peng Chung - The Prep Room’s repertoire is far-reaching. Their menu itself is beautifully hand-illustrated by Akmal himself – showcasing a vast selection of delectable wholesome meals from Western fares to Asian delights. The founders’ labour of love for food and its quality is evident as they prepare almost everything from the patties and breads to soups and sauces in-house, all from scratch. Sharing more about the business is founder, Akmal Zaki, here on Enterprise.
