Rakuten Trade is Malaysia’s first completely online equities broker, that offers digital investment opportunities to anyone keen on trading on Bursa Malaysia. Established in 2017, the startup has already racked up over 35,000 clients and almost RM7b in trading value, and continues to make waves with its innovative and easy-to-use services. We speak to the Managing Director, Kaoru Arai about the startup’s impressive growth and how they’ve managed to pique the interest of the younger generation of investors in Malaysia.
