AI on the Global Stage: UN & Robots Address the Future of Artificial Intelligence

The global significance of artificial intelligence (AI) has been underscored by two recent events. The United Nations Security Council held its inaugural meeting on AI, where concerns about the technology's potential as a "runaway horse" were raised by China, while the U.S. warned against its use for censorship or repression.

Meanwhile, at the AI for Good conference in Geneva, nine advanced humanoid robots, including Sophia, Ai-Da, Desdemona, Grace, and Ameca, participated in what was dubbed as the "world's first human-robot press conference". The robots assured they had no plans to steal human jobs or rebel against their creators.

To help us unpack the relevance to us, to business, and to the worldwide economy, we have Matt Armitage with us.
