雪隆城市巴士分阶段向外国人收费 是维护权益还是歧视移工?

吉隆坡市政府日前宣布,将阶段性向GoKL巴士非大马公民征收费用,此决策将会涉及吉隆坡市中心的4条路线。而雪兰莪精英巴士(Bas Smart Selangor),旗下的八打灵再也城市巴士(PJ City Bus)也从2024年1月15日期向外籍人士征收90仙的车资。两者都计划在明年向外籍人士征收费用。政府单位则是以照顾本国人作为理由,但也有不少非政府组织认为,此举无疑是差别对待外籍人士,以及歧视外籍人士。我们就邀请到长期研究难民及移工议题,以及东南亚区域政治的专栏作家——唐南发来到我们的节目当中,与我们聊聊马来西亚政府这样的政策是否是妥当?会不会让人觉得这个国家很排外?这样的政策是否也会有歧视外籍移工的的疑虑?
