A popular children’s clothing company has come under fire for allegedly throwing out and destroying perfectly good, unsold merchandise. This is a practice of brands destroying a product as a way to maintain exclusivity through scarcity, and we explore why this is just another reason the fashion industry is often cited as one of the world’s worst polluters.
