The Sound of Music (In A Pandemic)

Remember when cities began going into lockdowns in March and April, and suddenly videos of people singing together from their windows and balconies were everywhere? Music became one of the things that brought us together, and cheered us up when we were forced into our homes. Today, it continues to help us through these stressful times. We discuss why we turn to music in times of crisis, and how we might benefit from some music therapy.

If you want to find out more about music therapy, you can head over to the Malaysian Music Therapy Association’s website at mmta.org.my or look for them on Facebook. If you need emotional support or just want to talk to someone anonymously, you can call Befrienders KL at 03  7627  2929.
