Australia's Uluru Is Closed to Climbers

Climbing the World Heritage-listed Uluru in Australia’s red centre has been officially banned as of the 26th of October. It's a spiritual and psychological victory for the traditional owners, the Anangu people, for whom Uluru is a sacred site and a potent link to spirit ancestors who shaped the land. We look back at what led to the righting of this historic wrong.
