The Daily Digest: Addressing Menstrual Health

Dubbed the Tampon King and Menstrual Man, Arunachalam Muruganantham was cast out by his fellow villagers in India, who believed he had gone mad in his quest to produce an affordable napkin for his wife and other women. Now a documentary about him and his invention has been nominated for an Oscar. We discuss the issues surrounding the provision of hygiene products for girls and women, and why we need to address menstrual health.
