Smoking Ban in Public Places

Last month, a new law banning smoking in public places came into force. Places where it is illegal to light up now include playgrounds, national parks and campsites. Explaining the Control of Tobacco Product (Amendment) Regulations 2017, the challenge of enforcement, as well as cost of smoking to public health is Dr Nizam Baharom from the Tobacco Control Unit and WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Secretariat, Ministry of Health Malaysia.
