Feminist Fridays #11: Ecofeminism

Coined by French feminist Françoise d’Eaubonne in 1974, ecological feminism or ecofeminism, examines the connections between women and nature and relates environmental damage to women's exploitation and lack of empowerment. On this eve of Earth Day, we discuss if environmental conditions impact the lives of women and men in different ways as a result of existing inequalities with Dr Sharon Bong, an Associate Professor in Gender and Religious Studies.
