Stateless and Without Access to Education

As students across the country settle into their second week of school, access to education remains elusive to tens of thousands of stateless children in Malaysia. According to a Malay Mail Online report, many are forced into slave labour or begging on the streets, exposing them to dangerous conditions and exploitations at the hands of syndicates. We speak to Sharmila Sekaran from Voice of the Children, a child rights advocacy group, about efforts being taken to address the issue.
