Feminist Fridays #45: Technoculture: Digital Inclusion

Digital inclusion — the idea that the Internet is accessible, welcoming and safe for all — is essential so that everyone can both contribute to and also reap the benefits of the open Web. The UN Sustainable Development Goals include an important pledge to harness information and communications technologies (ICTs) to advance women’s empowerment, but is there a “digital divide” between women and men in use of the Internet and other ICTs? Joining us to discuss this and more are Serene Lim (Research and Resource Development Officer) and Rizal Rozhan (Advocacy and Capacity Building Officer) from Persatuan Kesedaran Komuniti Selangor (EMPOWER).
