This week we address an issue that the state assemblyman for Bukit Gasing, Rajiv Rishyakaran, is uniquely qualified to talk about - financial allocations provided to elected state representatives by the Selangor government. This year, each constituency is alloted RM800,000. Who decides how this money is spent largely depends on which political coalition is in power. Does an allocation like this help state assemblymen carry out their duties, or is it an open invitation for corruption and abuse? Rajiv gives his take.
