Feminist Fridays #7: Moving On from Domestic Abuse

Dr Haliza Zurah Zulkefeli endured years of abuse by her husband. It started with financial abuse, and finally escalated to physical abuse, right to the point where she started to fear for her life. She is one of the few victims of domestic abuse who made the brave move to leave her husband, press charges against him, and see him convicted for his crimes. She is now a vocal advocate in the fight against domestic violence, and she joins us to share her story of picking up her life and moving on.
