Feminist Fridays #55: VOICES 2017: Woman I Rise

Last year on Feminist Fridays, we spoke to Yasmin Bathmanathan, a writer and poet who started VOICES, a women's writing workshop, which seeks to create a space for women’s experiences to be heard. This year, we speak to Sumitra Selvaraj, Lai Suk Yin and Nana, who participated in last year's Voices 2017 workshop, which was themed, "Women I Rise" at the Georgetown Literary Festival. They join us to discuss the healing properties of writing, and how it helped them confront difficult situations from their past.
