Feminist Fridays #86: Empowering Young Women through Business and Vocational Training

The YWCA's Vocational Training Opportunity Centre (VTOC) was initiated to provide skills training for underprivileged young women and girls from economically disadvantaged families. Among others, the aim of the programme was to enable the participants to achieve self-determination and self-reliance in all areas of life. Set the celebrate it's 20th anniversary this November, we find out what the programme has achieved over the past two decades, and plans moving forward, from Joanne Yeoh, the President of the YWCA KL.
