Cost of Living

Dato Dr Paul Selva Raj, Secretary General, Federation of Malaysian Consumer Associations

17-Apr-18 15:00

Cost of Living

Cost of living will feature front and centre in the lead up to polling day on May 9th. Before the 13th parliament was dissolved on April 7th, a National Cost of Living Action Council was formed to address this issue head on. Dato Dr Paul Selva Raj, Secretary-General of the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations, commended the formation of this task force, writing in a public letter in a national daily that “this is the way forward.” We ask him why, whether government can directly influence cost of living, and the responsibility of consumers to live within their means.
