IORT in Early Breast Cancer

When Prof Dato’ Dr Yip Cheng Har first started surgical training in 1982, there were no breast surgeons because breast surgery was part of general surgery. But decades later, a lot have changed. We speak to one of the most well-known breast surgeons in the country as she recounts her journey in shaping the breast surgery landscape in the country over the years. She also introduces intraoperative radiation therapy, a relatively new technique in treating early breast cancer.
