Did you know that before COVID-19, tuberculosis was the leading infectious killer, even higher than HIV/AIDS? While it has now been overtaken by COVID-19, it doesn’t mean TB is any less of a threat to public health than it used to be. In fact, many experts are concerned that the focus on COVID-19 has set us back on making progress with TB. So how do we get to the point where TB is a part of our history books? Is that possible with drug-resistant TB? We find out from Dr Ilaria Motta, TB Medical Advisor, MSF Access Campaign.
