The Link Between Obesity, Diabetes and COVID-19

If you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, managing your body weight is crucial to managing the disease, especially if you are obese. This is more important than ever, as both diabetes and obesity increases the risk of severe COVID-19 complications if you catch the coronavirus. We speak to consultant endocrinologist Dr Teoh Wei Leng, from Sunway Medical Centre, to find out why these individuals are considered high-risk, and how they can better manage their weight during this pandemic.
