Living and Dying Well: When The Community Comes Together

In conjunction with World Hospice & Palliative Care Day on 14 October, Health & Living has been featuring various perspectives of living and dying well, challenging the norms in healthcare and society when it comes to death. In this final perspective, we explore the role of community volunteers in supporting people with life-limiting illnesses, and how interdependence within the community can lead to better death experiences. Venerable Tien Wen, Spiritual Counsellor with Assisi Palliative Care & Chairman of the Universal Kindness Caring Buddhist Society, and Mok Check Boon, volunteer with Tzu Chi Foundation, join us for this discussion.
