LGBT Healthcare

The LGBT community in Malaysia has come under attack in recent weeks, from having their rights questioned to being individually targeted and physically assaulted. In response, members of the LGBT community have said that they are only seeking equal rights as Malaysians. We look at one of the areas in which stigma and discrimination can have severe and lasting impact: healthcare for the LGBT community. What happens when morality colours medical professionalism and ethics?
