An important industrial material used to strengthen plastics, Bisphenol A (BPA) coats many of our bottles and plastic containers. Even as some countries ban BPA-containing bottles, scientists continue to debate the health impacts of BPA, a new study in PLoS One shows BPA increases prostate stem cells in ‘organoids’. Does this seal the debate? Prof Dr Mustafa Ali Mohamad and Dr George Lee discuss.
