Young Malaysian Contemporary Artists

The exhibition ‘Bakat Muda Sezaman 2016’ (Young Contemporaries) has opened at the National Art Gallery (although at this time Feb 8, the official launch has not taken place) so we give you a peek at the 30 plus exhibits of the finalists. The winners will be announced in the first week of March. In our discussion with the Director of Corporate Communications we find out the history and raison d’etre of this  exhibition-and-competition which started in 1974 and its continued relevance to the gallery and to young artists.
